About ClinicalCodes

ClinicalCodes is a free reference for US medical code sets: ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes, ICD-10-PCS procedure codes, and HCPCS Level II codes. Every code page shows the official descriptor, billable status, the release it belongs to, and its full version history across annual and quarterly releases — including what was added, revised, or deleted in each release.

Where the data comes from

Code data is loaded from the official public-domain releases published by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the CDC's National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS). Each import is checksummed and audited, and historical releases are retained so point-in-time validity ("was this code valid on this date of service?") can be answered accurately.

What this site is not

ClinicalCodes is an independent reference tool. It is not affiliated with, maintained by, or endorsed by CMS, the CDC, or any government agency. Nothing on this site is medical advice, billing advice, or coding advice for a specific claim — always follow the official guidelines and your payer's policies.
