๐Ÿ”’ Privacy Policy

Clinical Codes is built on one principle: your health data belongs to you.

Effective Date: February 24, 2026  ยท  Version 1.0

๐Ÿ“Œ Short version: Clinical Codes stores all your health data locally on your iPhone or iPad. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal health information with anyone. No account required. No server. No analytics. Ever.

1. Who We Are

Clinical Codes is an iOS health tracking application developed by Eugene Fischer, an independent developer operating under the domain clinicalcodes.com. This Privacy Policy applies to the Clinical Codes iOS app and the clinicalcodes.com website.

2. What Data We Collect

The short answer: nothing.

Clinical Codes does not collect, transmit, store on external servers, or have access to any personal information or health data you enter into the app. All data you create โ€” including health records, medications, appointment details, blood pressure readings, glucose logs, doctor visit notes, and any other information โ€” is stored exclusively on your personal device using Apple's SwiftData framework.

3. Data Storage

All app data is stored in one of two places, both under your complete control:

4. Apple HealthKit

Clinical Codes can read from and write to Apple Health (HealthKit) โ€” specifically: step count, blood pressure, body weight, workouts, sleep, and water intake. This connection is entirely optional. You are prompted to grant permission before any HealthKit access occurs. HealthKit data is governed by Apple's privacy policies and is never transmitted to Clinical Codes servers (because there are no servers).

HealthKit data is used only to display health summaries within the app.

5. Notifications

Clinical Codes uses Apple's local notification system (UNUserNotificationCenter) to deliver medication reminders and appointment alerts. All notifications are scheduled entirely on your device. No notification content or timing data is sent to any server. You can disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings.

6. Data You Choose to Share

Clinical Codes provides PDF export and share sheet functionality, allowing you to share your health summaries with doctors or save them to your own storage. All sharing is initiated exclusively by your intentional action within the app. We do not receive copies of any exported data.

7. Analytics and Tracking

Clinical Codes contains no third-party analytics, no advertising SDKs, no crash reporting services, and no tracking of any kind. We do not know how many times you use the app, which features you use, or anything about your behavior within the app.

The App Store may provide Apple with aggregate, anonymized data about app downloads and crashes per Apple's standard developer program policies, which are governed entirely by Apple's privacy policy.

8. App Store Review Prompt

After you save a number of health records, the app may use Apple's SKStoreReviewController to display a native iOS review prompt. This is handled entirely by Apple. We do not collect or see your review or rating.

9. Children's Privacy

Clinical Codes is rated 4+ on the App Store and does not contain any content inappropriate for children. The app does not knowingly collect information from children under 13, as it does not collect information from anyone.

10. Data Deletion

Because your data is stored only on your device (and optionally in your iCloud account), you can delete all Clinical Codes data at any time by:

We have no copies of your data and therefore cannot delete it on your behalf.

11. Changes to This Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and may notify users via an app update. Continued use of the app following any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
